The Rooms in Villa Hoedspruit

Villa Hoedspruit has three bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, two of which have outdoor showers. The rooms are oriented around a central, open living and dining room, with a large terrace. They each have a theme around some of our favorite animals; elephants, leopards and zebras.

The Style

This palette extends throughout the house, with subtle colors and high-quality bedding, leather and lighting working together to create a relaxed, yet high-end atmosphere for guests. Most of the furniture is local and handmade.

Everything You Need

There are warm rugs and plenty of books (fiction and reference) in the living room, which also has a Samsung Smart TV and soundbar. Enjoy all the discreet, modern conveniences that luxury travelers expect; blackout curtains, fast Wi-Fi, air conditioners in the bedrooms, screened sliding doors and windows, a quiet dishwasher and washing machine, tumble dryer, filtered water, back-up power, large safes, USB plug points, fluffy towels and cotton robes, binoculars, books about birds and wildlife, and all the information you need to plan your stay. And not to forget, a nice swimming pool to cool off in during the hot summer months.

The Modern Kitchen

The kitchen is designed so that everything is easy to reach, with a separate utility room for the large appliances (washing machine, dryer and dishwasher). The kitchen is fully equipped so you can eat as often and as creatively as you like – there is a South African cookbook for inspiration – with a high-end gas stove and oven for gourmet creations. There is also a private reverse osmosis water system installed, so the water is safe to drink. If you don’t feel like cooking, a private chef can be booked to prepare a real South African meal for you or even do a Braai experience!

View from the Deck

A highlight (in every way) is the elevated viewing deck, which gives you a spectacular view over the African bushveld. It’s romantic, it’s peaceful, and you’ll feel your heart expand to the horizon as you enjoy coffee, a meal, or a sunset from this unique vantage point. We recommend setting your alarm early one morning to watch the sunrise over the bush and listen to all the birds waking up. Something spectacular that you should not miss is to make a stargazing evening from the deck. Especially good when the moon is gone.
